Anyone who uses the Wireshark network analysis tool should update it for security reasons. If this does not happen, attackers could target three vulnerabilities for DoS attacks.

In a post, the developers state that the security problems in the editions 3.6.13 and 4.0.5 for macOS and Windows. In all cases, attackers could crash the tool with crafted packages. A classification of the threat level of the gaps (CVE-2023-1992, CVE-2023-1993, CVE-2023-1994) is still pending.
In addition, the developers have fixed various bugs when recording and analyzing network traffic.
